The Final Four is this weekend. It features two games: Gonzaga vs South Carolina and North Carolina vs Oregon. South Carolina has been one of the most talked about teams/stories over the past couple weeks, and deservedly so. They are one of the only seven seeds to make it to the final four and they have knocked off some really good teams on the way. I think that the Gamecocks have a legit chance to win. Not just this game, but the whole thing. They’ve rode their high-intensity defense and Sindarius Thornwell up until this point. Nothing tells me that they can’t do it again against the Zags.

The best matchup of the weekend is Oregon-North Carolina. Up to this point, these two teams have emerged as the best in the tournament. It’s a shame that they happen to be on the same side of the bracket, as this would have made for a heck of a championship game. Oregon is coming off of their best performance of the season, upsetting the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region, Kansas 74-60. Jordan Bell and the Ducks look very, very hard to beat right now. Meanwhile North Carolina knocked off De’Aaron Fox and the Kentucky Wildcats, who was one of the hottest teams in the tournament as well. With Justin Jackson, Joel Berry II and co. playing their best ball at the right time, UNC has emerged as the favorites to win the tournament. If Joel Berry II’s ankle(s) can hold up, they will be hard to take down. This will be a fast-paced, exciting game to watch. Make sure to tune in Saturday Night to watch the game of the year.
