The NCAA tournament wrapped up this past Monday and North Carolina was crowned the champion. Here we look at some of the best shoes worn throughout the tournament.
(This list is in no particular order)
Adidas Crazy Explosive Low Miami PE, Worn by Kamari Murphy, among others
(This is the best in-game picture I could find)
The Adidas Crazy Explosive, specifically the low version, is definitely one of my favorite basketball shoes this year. I am yet to find a colorway of this shoe that doesn’t look good, but this Miami colorway is too clean. The green/orange colorway is a rare combination, but a very special one when done correctly.
Nike Zoom Kobe 3 “Fade to Black”, Worn by London Perrantes
Ok, let’s be honest for a second, these are kinda ugly. But you’ve gotta respect London for breaking these out for the Tournament. They didn’t help Virginia much in the tournament as they put up just 39 points against Florida, but props to Perrantes for wearing these classic Kobes.
Nike Kobe 8 “Venice Beach”, Worn by Isaiah Briscoe
I give credit to someone who can match a unique shoe with their team’s colors. I also give credit to anyone who can wear unique shoes that don’t go with their team’s colors at all. That’s exactly what Isaiah Briscoe did here, and he owned it.
Jordan 11 “Space Jam”, Worn by Malik Monk
Nike Kobe 5 “Fade to Black”, Worn by Malik Monk
Malik Monk has shoe game. End of Story.
Custom Nike PG1 “Big Blue”, Worn by Malik Monk
It was hard to find a good shot of these shoes in-game, so here’s a better look. Love the PG1.
Nike Kobe X Elite “Detail”, Worn by De’Aaron Fox
Heard these are one of the most comfortable basketball shoes to play in, never tried for myself. I’ll take your word for it.
Alonzo Trier, Arizona
Trier is one of the biggest sneakerheads in college basketball. You can read an article on what he likes to wear here.
Nike Soldier 10, Worn by Miles Bridges
Had a hard time finding a good picture of Miles wearing these in the tournament, but here they are. He wore the Soldier 10 almost all year, but this green/gold colorway is one of the best I’ve seen.
Jordan 11 “Cool Grey”, Worn by Theo Pinson
Theo didn’t have a great end to the season, but he looked good doing it. He started wearing these around conference tournament time and kept wearing them through the NCAA championship game. Hats off to you, Champ.
